Ajrakh Print Kurtas, Kurtis & Suits - Shop the Heritage Edit
Prints That Come From Somewhere Real
Most prints you see today were designed on a screen. Ajrakh was not.
This craft has been alive for over 4,000 years, passed down through generations of artisans across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Sindh. It uses hand-carved wooden blocks, natural dyes like indigo and madder root, and a resist-printing process that takes days to complete on a single fabric. The geometric medallions, intricate borders, and rich earthy tones you see in Ajrakh are not random design choices. Each one carries cultural weight that goes back centuries.
At The Jaipur Studio, we have been working with Indian textiles since 1950. This Ajrakh edit brings together 49 styles of ajrakh print kurtas, kurtis, coord sets, dupatta sets, and full ajrakh print suits across cotton, crepe, and Mashru Silk. Everyday wear and occasion wear, both in one place.
What This Collection Covers
Ajrakh Print Kurtas and Kurtis
Our ajrakh print kurta range starts at Rs. 995. Most styles are in cotton, which keeps them comfortable enough for daily wear without looking casual. Silhouettes include straight cut, A-line, Alia cut, and angrakha-style, so there is something for different body types and preferences. The Yashi and Sifra cotton kurtas come with embroidery detailing on top of the Ajrakh print. The Norah and Daniya Mashru Silk styles step it up for occasions where you want a richer look without going full saree.
Ajrakh Print Coord Sets
Styles like Leena, Prita, Saba, and Nargis are handblock-printed cotton two-piece sets starting from Rs. 1,395. The colour palette covers teal blue, mustard, beige, green, black, and brown. These work for regular days, office days, and casual family occasions without needing much styling effort.
Ajrakh Print Dupatta Sets
The Harshi series in this collection is worth a look. These cotton ajrakh print suits with Katha-detailed dupattas come in wine, black, blue, rust, and green. The dupatta border detailing is done by hand, starting from Rs. 1,795. Good value for the craft involved.
Full Ajrakh Suits and Pant Sets
For more complete dressing, the collection has hand-embroidered pant sets like Dimpee and Divisha from Rs. 1,995, festive anarkali sets like Gunjal and Summerish, and structured premium options like the Dhara crepe pant set at Rs. 3,595.
Fabrics Used
Cotton covers most of the kurtas and coord sets. It is breathable, low-maintenance, and works well for regular wear.
Crepe is used in a few pant sets where a more structured, semi-formal feel is needed.
Mashru Silk is a traditional silk-cotton blend with a natural sheen. Used for the premium kurta styles in this edit, it gives an elevated look without the heaviness of pure silk.
How to Wear Ajrakh
The earthy tones in Ajrakh, indigo, red, black, rust, green, pair naturally with most Indian jewellery and footwear. You do not need to do much:
- An ajrakh print kurti with straight pants and kolhapuris is a complete work outfit
- Coord sets need only juttis and small earrings to look put-together
- Mashru Silk kurtas go well with churidar and oxidised silver for evenings
- Any Ajrakh pant set with a potli bag and block-printed dupatta makes a full handcraft look
